Summary
Democracy doesn't defend itself. The people who support the 44 leagues in our state—holding trainings, hosting statewide forums, leading our advocacy efforts in Springfield—need support too. That's what our Champions of Democracy Brunch is about.
Support the League of Women Voters of Illinois and join us as we celebrate the volunteers and leaders who make Illinois's democracy stronger every single day.
This year, we will honor U.S. Senator Dick Durbin with the inaugural Champion of Democracy Award, recognizing a distinguished Illinoisan who has exemplified democratic values in service to our state.
Your $100 ticket directly supports the advocacy, the organizing, the daily operations that make everything else possible. It keeps our leaders in the field, and keeps Illinois' most trusted nonpartisan voice strong and independent.
Doors open at 9:00 am. Program begins at 10:00 am. Buffet brunch served.
Seating is limited—early registration is encouraged. Tables seat ten; tickets ordered together will be seated together at the event.
